Projects our engineers have delivered

A few projects from our engineering team. We describe customers by industry and application, never by name.

Freelance DCS control panels for a high-power test facility

I/O and electrical design from the customer's I/O list, S800 I/O over PROFIBUS, staged delivery and as-built terminal maps; programming and commissioning under way. 2025–2026.

More than fifteen years of DCS support at a chemical plant

Panels, I/O migration, Freelance programming, shutdown support, training and care agreements. 2009–2026.

Freelance controls for a cultures producer's freeze dryers

Built in 2022–23 and maintained hands-on; an extension for another dryer, reusing the original design and code, was ordered in 2026.

S800 I/O supply and support for an oilseed processor's DCS

S800 I/O quoted from the plant's own parts list, same-day engineering support during an outage start-up, and an analog input expansion. 2025–2026.

Machine power-monitoring hardware for two IIoT deployments

Monitoring kits, gateways, approved schematics, cable schedules and Modbus maps behind a software partner's platform. 2026.

Relay-panel equipment package for a municipal substation upgrade

Specification review, sourcing and an engineered nameplate package, won on sealed bids. 2025–2026.

Field service, repairs and small retrofits for local manufacturers

On-site PLC troubleshooting, a drive retrofit and small panel builds. 2022–2026.

Where our panel shop began: a 32-axis motion retrofit

The project that gave us an engineering group and a panel shop. 2007–2016.

Panels from our UL 508A shop

Every panel our engineers design is built in our own UL / cUL 508A listed shop. Panel-shop case studies are on grossmfg.com.

Test-cell power and control line-up for a factory drive test floor

Eight assemblies, 690 V and 480 V, PLC/HMI programming and on-site commissioning. 2025.

Long-running controls supply for a dairy and farm equipment OEM

Pre-programmed operator panels and drives, depot repair and an obsolete-drive cross-reference. 2012–present.

UL 508A control box for a robotic work cell on a deployment deadline

Designed around the customer's safety and control kit and inspected by UL in our shop. 2025.

All panel-shop work

Utility network cabinets, generator alarm panels, transfer-switch enclosures and more.

Bring the machine, or just the idea.

Tell us what has to happen, what you have today and when you need it. Sketches, photos, old drawings and wish lists are all fine.
